All Stretton World War I Memorial Weekend

On 18th and 19th August 2018 there will be an exhibition in All Stretton village hall to mark the end of the First World War, open each day from 10am until 4pm. In addition to displays from the period and military objects, there will be the stories of the men who went to war and did not return and a collection of articles demonstrating the important role that women played during the war. A guided walk will be available at 2pm each day to take a route around the village highlighting the homes where our servicemen lived. Refreshments will be available and donations welcome. In addition, St Michaels Church will be open at the same time with a flower festival: ‘A Commemoration in Flowers’. There will be a Songs of Praise service at 6pm on Sunday evening.
