Beginners

efore you can shoot as a club member, you must complete a beginners course. A course typically consists of six lessons, with each lesson being two hours long. You will be taught how to shoot by our experienced club coaches. As the course progresses, you will learn about the many aspects and styles of archery. All equipment is provided. Once the course has been completed, you are eligible to join the club.

The club has equipment that can be borrowed so beginners do not have to purchase their own when they first start out. In fact, we recommend against it until you are settled in and know what it is you need/want.

Have A Go

Sometimes you just want to try before you commit, if that’s you, why not pop along to one of our Have a Go sessions. These are run on the second Saturday morning (10-12) of each month from May to August. There is a small attendance fee.

Please get in contact if you are interested in coming along.

Where possible coaching is given by qualified Archery GB coaches. However, from time to time, Junior Assistant Coaches, trainee level 1 coaches and club archers may be involved in coaching and teaching. Archery GB accept no responsibility in this regard, save its statutory liability in respect of personal injury or death caused by negligence of Archery GB. If you have any objections or concerns about this, please inform the club officer in charge prior to the relevant coaching or instruction session.

If you are member of…..

The Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Youth Clubs or indeed any club or group, then why not arrange an evening of archery for your group? All equipment will be provided. This is ideal for school activity days, team building days or even birthday parties.

What do I get for my money?
