Rotary Club of Church Stretton

Rotary is a worldwide Service Club founded in the USA in 1905. Today Rotary has 1.4 million members, in 46,000 Clubs, in over 220 countries worldwide.

Rotary is a Service Club which allows people to contribute to their local Communities and International Causes, such as End Polio Now, where we work with the Bill Gates Foundation. Church Stretton Rotary was founded in 1953 and has just celebrated its 70th Anniversary. Locally in Church Stretton you will see us putting up the Christmas Tree in the Town Square: helping with Remembrance Sunday; raising funds for our First Responders Ambulance; Young Heroes awards to recognise exceptional contributions from young people locally; contributing to Hope House, The Air Ambulance; picking up litter on The Longmynd and much more !

Fund raising is a key activity for Rotary Club members

We are also a social group, enjoying trips out to compete in Quizes, Darts and Ten Pin bowling with other Rotary clubs and our own trips to cultural and enjoyable things like a Cider Brewery. More information can be found at and “Rotary Club of Church Stretton” on FaceBook We are very keen to welcome new members who wish to contribute to our Community. We are a diverse group and welcome people, regardless of their age, ethnicity, abilities, religion, culture, sexual orientation and gender identity.
